Hi- my son bought a WD Elements 1T external drive which he would like to use on his G4 (733mhz) Mac but when he plugs it in (it's a USB 2.0 drive-he has the older USB driver but it 'should' be backwards compatible I thought.) it doesn't come up in the Finder and when he uses Disk Utility it says there is an input/output error. It works just fine on the newer Macs we have in the house. is there any hope that this WD drive will work on his Tiger machine? We have googled and googled and no luch there. He called WD technical support which was a waste of time. Thought I'd post here to see if we get get some help, Judy
